Hey all… I’ve moved my blog to my own domain. Business System Builder… building better business systems. What are sytems? Not just technology. Full disclosure. I’m an IT consultant. I help people screw in software systems. OK. I said it. But what I’m passionate about is not just how to screw in a software product in the most efficient manner. My experience and lots and lots of data show that there are more factors to a successful technology implementation than the selection of the correct gadget or whizbang software package. You’ve got to have the groundwork laid for success, including the cultural stuff, the process stuff, the political stuff. Technology is only one component of the overall business system that will get you to where you want to be at the end of this kind of investment. Hopefully, I’ll contribute to the converstation about helping folks get more from technology than just frustration.
